Dear community members, Recently, there have been some notices sent by a former Ontology admin who quitted the community admin position by the end of June. The reason why we did not respond to those notices immediately but only posted an official announcement on August 12 is because I wanted our community members and admins to ponder on the issues by themselves and come to their own judgment. The community belongs to everyone in the community. Each community that you joined is based on your own choices, and also on the consensus of co-building the community. Therefore, when disputes or misunderstanding arise, my intention would be to leave the matter to the community and for you to come to your own conclusion. This is the way to make the project truly community-driven and decentralized. We have seen some misunderstandings and disputes. Personally, I would prefer that these disputes are about things that could make Ontology better. This will be the progress for the community itself as well. The Ontology team will hold an AMA in our official Telegram English group at 11:00 UTC time on August 26th and I, Jesse Liu, Marketing Director of Ontology, will be there and answer questions from the community and clarify the issues which our community members have been discussing in the past few days. The reason I chose to speak out now is that I think we have practiced enough on how to deal with misunderstandings and disputes. We should now look further to the future. Aren't these the very reasons we joined Ontology? We are here not for petty disputes, we are here because we want to build something great. This should be the consensus for us all. I will address all your concerns next Monday, but I would more look forward to answering more meaningful questions from you because that's what really helps the community grow.
